About the Role

Comet Learning Centre is launching a specialized program helping Mandarin-speaking newcomers master the TEF Canada or TCF Canada tests to secure their Permanent Residency (PR). We are seeking experienced French Tutors to deliver targeted exam preparation.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach the four core exam components: Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking.
- Guide adult learners toward achieving the critical NCLC 7 (CLB 7) benchmark.
- Administer mock tests, evaluate performance using official rubrics, and provide actionable feedback.
- Address common linguistic hurdles specific to native Mandarin speakers learning French.





Qualifications

- Native or near-native fluency in French (C1/C2 level) with strong grammar skills.
- Proven experience teaching FSL/FLE to adults or test prep candidates.
- Familiarity with Canadian Language Benchmarks (NCLC) and IRCC immigration standards.
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the newcomer experience (Mandarin proficiency is a solid asset).
