Music Therapy Services of Simcoe County is currently once again expanding our team to meet the growing demand for services in Simcoe County & South Muskoka. We have specialized in supporting the mental health, developmental, rehabilitation and recreational needs of Ontarians since 2001. MTSSC team members enjoy a diverse caseload working with clients of all ages and with a variety of needs and diagnoses.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE?
- Run music therapy sessions for groups and individual clients
- Complete all documentation as per MTSSC guidelines including session plans, assessments, treatment plans, session notes and progress reports
- Learn songs and interventions to use with clients on your caseload
- Build proficiency with voice, guitar and piano
- Actively engage in weekly supervision
HOW DO I QUALIFY?
- Completion of University Degree and Clinical Internship in Music Therapy
- MTA or in the process of obtaining certification
- CAMT member in good standing
- COVID-19 vaccination and annual flu shot (as per long-term care requirements)
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to relocate to the Simcoe County region
