We are seeking a full time Real Estate Law Clerk for a maternity leave replacement with over two years of experience in real estate law.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day and general responsibilities of processing all real estate transactions from beginning to end, including the preparation of all documentation and correspondence, including: Completing real estate transactions from beginning to end, including residential purchases and sales, commercial purchases and sales, power of sales and mortgages, and the documentation required. drafting Transfers, mortgages, discharges, land transfer tax affidavits, title insurance applications and other related documents; and drafting reports,



accounts and trust statements to clients and reports to mortgagees. Preparing other specific real estate documents as required, including Powers of Attorney, Assignments of Mortgage, Survivorship Applications, Transmission Applications, Deposits, Applications to Register Caution and Postponements of Mortgage. Knowledge of real estate conveyancing and title issues, as well as zoning and building by-laws, restrictions and guidelines.

Ability and knowledge necessary to assist solicitors in completing real estate transactions. Basic knowledge of litigation, family, and commercial law as it relates to real estate. All work is performed in a hybrid environment , and overtime may be required as necessary.
