Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Funding Coordinator. The ideal candidate would play an essential role in securing funding on behalf of each patient, so they receive the best possible care. This is an excellent opportunity to work on social justice projects related to disability. If you have experience working with health insurance adjudication, WorkSafe case management, or government funding programs, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

- Work as part of the funding team to negotiate and secure prosthetic coverage for each patient, through various funding sources including insurance and government programs.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of various funding programs and policies, as well as subject matter expertise in prosthetics.
- Manage written and verbal communications with patients, other healthcare providers, and funding programs.
- Prepare, edit, and format documents using Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
- Prepare financial estimates and maintain organized patient health records.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as required and provide support to our clinical team.
- Handle confidential health documents.




- Assist with the preparation and organization of presentations, documents, exhibits, and materials related to medico-legal documents, as well as educational events for funding programs.

Qualifications & Skills

- 5+ years experience working in health policy, claims adjudication, or audit. Experience as a paralegal will also be considered.
- Post-secondary education in business administration, office administration, or a related field.
- Strong reading, written formatting, and grammar skills, as well as mathematics.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and other software systems.
- Robust organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of prosthetics and bilingual communication skills (written and spoken French) are an asset.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
