Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and versatile General Carpenter / Labourer to join our dynamic Timber Frame Home Building team. In this role, you will be actively involved in a wide range of carpentry and general labor tasks, contributing to the successful completion of diverse building projects. Your energy, attention to detail, and willingness to learn will help drive projects forward efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks
- Assist with concrete forming, masonry work, and rebar installation to support foundational structures
- Install drywall, siding, flooring, tiles, cabinets, and other interior or exterior finishes with precision
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and effectively
- Perform general construction tasks such as roofing, caulking, painting, siding installation, and heavy lifting as needed
- Support plumbing and electrical work under supervision to ensure project specifications are met
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of debris, securing materials, and adhering to safety protocols

Requirements





- Prior construction experience or hands-on experience with carpentry or woodworking is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with construction estimating is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in construction projects
- Knowledge of concrete forming, drywall installation, tile laying, flooring installation, siding, roofing, and masonry techniques
- Experience with rebar installation, caulking, painting, plumbing basics or electrical systems is advantageous
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces safely
- Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards
- Valid driver’s license preferred; additional certifications in construction safety or specific trade skills are beneficial
