The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong experience in framing, drywall, carpentry, flooring, electrical, plumbing, bathroom renovations, and general finishing work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications, dimensions and material requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other construction materials.
- Perform general framing, carpentry, repairs, modifications and finishing work.
- Complete drywall boarding, taping, mudding, sanding and finishing to a high-quality standard.
- Install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, trims, baseboards, casings and other finish carpentry.
- Perform flooring installation, including various types of flooring and related preparation work.
- Perform bathroom renovations, including demolition, framing, drywall, waterproofing, tile-related preparation and finishing.
- Perform basement renovations from framing through to final finishing.
- Perform general electrical work, including running electrical wires, installing/replacing switches and receptacles, changing fixtures and completing other renovation-related electrical tasks within applicable requirements.
- Perform plumbing work,

including above-ground and underground plumbing, rough-ins, modifications, repairs and installation.
- Handle a variety of additional renovation and construction tasks as required to complete the project.
- Coordinate and work with specialized licensed trades when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe job site.
- Take responsibility for the quality, progress and completion of assigned work.
- Work independently, identify problems and find practical solutions without requiring constant supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Proven experience in residential and/or commercial renovations.
- Strong hands-on experience with framing, drywall boarding and finishing, carpentry and general renovations.
- Excellent bathroom renovation experience.
- Strong basement renovation experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical work related to renovations.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, including both above-ground and underground work.
- Experience with flooring, tile and other renovation trades is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry terms, materials, tools and techniques.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
- Ability to measure, calculate and work accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities on an active construction site.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of the work from start to finish.

REQUIREMENTS

- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record.

- Own and maintain a complete set of professional hand and power tools required to perform the work.
- Must have your own saws and equipment, including table saw, mitre saw, Sawzall, oscillating multi-tool and other basic construction saws and tools required for day-to-day renovation work.
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Professional appearance and conduct on customer job sites.
- Must take pride in workmanship and be committed to completing work properly rather than taking shortcuts.

COMPANY VEHICLE PROVIDED A company vehicle will be provided for work-related use. The successful candidate must have a safe and secure location at their residence to park the company vehicle when it is not being used for work.
