Repolve is a social strength-training app built around a simple idea: your training should show you how strong you’re becoming, not just store what you did.
We’ve launched on the App Store and are looking for someone to help us grow Repolve through content, community, and creative growth experiments.
This is an early-stage role. You’ll work directly with the founder and have real ownership over how Repolve looks, sounds, and grows.
What you’ll do
- Create and edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other channels
- Take content from idea → filming/assets → editing → final post
- Develop and test new content concepts every week
- Turn Repolve features, training ideas, progress data, and user stories into engaging videos
- Help shape Repolve’s visual and social identity
- Reach out to fitness creators, university clubs, gyms, and communities
- Help grow and engage the Repolve community
- Talk to users and learn what makes them try, use, and share Repolve
- Track content and growth performance and use it to decide what we try next
This is not a role where you’ll spend your time scheduling generic social posts. We want someone who can make things, ship them quickly, see what works, and make the next one better. Who we’re looking forYou might be a positive fit if you:
- Can confidently edit short-form video
- Understand pacing, hooks, captions, sound, and what makes someone keep watching
- Understand lifting, fitness, or gym culture
- Have a strong feel for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and internet culture
- Can make content that feels native to the platform rather than like a traditional ad
- Are comfortable filming or working with raw footage and product assets
- Have good visual judgment
- Can write solid hooks and concise copy
- Are independent and willing to experiment
- Care about the numbers behind what you make
Professional marketing experience is not required. Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or similar tools is welcome. We care more about what you can make than which software you use.
Nice to have
- Motion graphics or animation experience
- Graphic design experience
- Experience filming fitness or lifestyle content
- Experience growing a social account, community, club, or personal project
- Photography experience
- Existing involvement in fitness communities
- UBC or Vancouver fitness/community connections
What to send us1. Your resume
- Your portfolio
Please include 2–5 examples of videos you’ve edited or created.
These do not need to come from professional work. Personal projects, TikToks, Reels, YouTube videos, club content, spec work, or content you’ve made for yourself are completely valid.
If you worked with other people on a piece, briefly tell us what you personally did.
- Answer these two questions:
If you had $100 and one week to get as many lifters as possible to try Repolve, what would you do?
Show us one short-form video you think is exceptionally well made and tell us, in a few sentences, what makes it work.
We care much more about your taste, creativity, and ability to execute than whether you’ve had a previous marketing internship.
Details
- Part-time: approximately 8–12 hours/week
- Vancouver-based, with flexibility for remote work
- Student-friendly schedule
- Paid
- Work directly with the founder
- Significant creative ownership over an early-stage consumer fitness product
About RepolveRepolve helps lifters track their training, understand their strength through a personalized Strength Profile, and compete on progress with friends.
We’re early, which means the person joining us won’t just be executing an established content strategy. You’ll help figure out what that strategy should be.
- Every rep evolves you.
