: The mandate of the Strategy, Enablement and Optimization team is to improve customer experience, colleague experience and optimize claims and shared services operations costs through providing deep analyses and understanding of the operations processes to stakeholders. This team is a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with actuaries, claims adjusters, data experts and data scientists. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of experienced actuaries in order to apply and develop your analytical and business acumen skills by having a direct impact on the improvement of the claim processes at TD Insurance.

CUSTOMER Develop and support deep analytics on business results and performance to identify strategies to mitigate the impact of inflation and growth on our operations. Provide technical expertise across a broad range of data analysis functions including data modeling, visualization and data profiling. Collaborate closely with business SMEs to capture the business challenges, translate into technical requirements, and facilitate adoption of analytics solutions.

Participate in initiatives that will improve customer and colleague experience by proposing solutions leveraging insights from data and analytics. Communicate and explain financial and analytical concepts to a non-technical and frontline audience. Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escape non-standard, high risk activities as necessary.

Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines. Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts. Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest. Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit.



Contribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities; provide training, coaching and/or guidance as appropriate.

Act as a brand champion for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally. Leads projects or workstreams within broader projects with moderate risk and may be accountable for managing ongoing activities, processes and functional programs. Works within broad guidelines / policies and independently performs tasks from end to end.

Generally reports to a Manager / Senior Manager. Minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience in Property & Casualty Bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Sciences or related field Minimum of 2 actuarial exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society Analytical mind and ability to make sound decisions Strong aptitude for team work Ability to complete tasks independently Good organization and time management skills Creative in finding solutions to complex problems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in programing or using analytical tools (R, Python, SQL, VBA, etc.) As part of TD Bank Group, one of Canada's largest financial institutions, at TD Insurance, we care for Canadian families, making it easy to get the best advice, protection, and support in their moments of need, always.
