A person who, in a home, residence, group home or similar environment, assumes a set of tasks whose purpose is to accompany and support the user and his or her family or to compensate for his or her disabilities in the performance of his or her activities of daily living or domestic life. They also promote the integration and socialization of the user in individual and community activities. They are responsible for the hygiene, well-being, comfort, supervision and general needs of users.
They install certain devices or provides certain invasive and non-invasive care to assist with activities of daily living, for which they have been trained. In collaboration with the other stakeholders, they participate in the identification of the user's needs as well as in the development of the service or intervention plan and its implementation.
Homecare Worker
Responsibilities • Assist with toileting and continence care while maintaining dignity and comfort; • Deliver personal hygiene care, including bathing, grooming, dressing and oral care; • Perform basin health monitoring and report any changes in the client’s condition; • Provide medication assistance in accordance with care plans and established guidelines; • Offer compassionate companionship and support to promote clients’ well-being and independence. Ability to translate from Cree to English and vice versa; • Autonomous, adaptable, discrete and empathetic; • Computer skills; • Language:
- Fluent in English and Cree. Previous experience in Homecare, Personal Support Worker, or Caregiving is preferred; •
