Job Overview

Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic setting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and improve overall mental health.
- Help with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety for both clients and caregivers.
- Document care activities accurately,
communicate changes in condition to healthcare teams, and follow all safety procedures related to patient care.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, medication administration, and basic nursing procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks with energy and compassion.
- Strong caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Certification in caregiving or relevant healthcare training is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is appreciated.
