Equipment Operator

Location: Timmins, Ontario

Wage: $32.00–$42.00/hour

Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off — Days & Nights For those of you that do not live in Timmins - You will receive a $60/ day food allowance, travel reimbursment based on their travel costs to Timmins, and we will also provide you with either a room at one of our houses or a hotel room.

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Production Equipment Operators to join our energetic mine site construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other equipment essential for excavation and construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure efficient project progress while maintaining safety standards and operational excellence.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure developments and gain valuable experience in heavy equipment operations.

Responsibilities

- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other equipment with precision and safety in mind.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment like Caterpillar excavators and graders to ensure optimal performance and identify maintenance needs.
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, activities to support project timelines.




- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Coordinate with project managers and crew members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to project specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Support other construction activities requiring mechanical knowledge or heavy equipment operation as needed.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery or similar brands confidently and safely.
- Experience with horizontal drilling or other specialized construction techniques is a plus.
- Valid G class license preferred for transporting equipment or materials on-site.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices is essential.
- Basic understanding of construction processes including grading, paving, and site development.
