Whissell: Building more than a Job

We are seeking a skilled Track Loader Operator to join our underground construction team in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a track loader to support excavation, backfilling, material handling, and site preparation activities in underground utility and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a track loader to move, load, and spread earth, rock, gravel, and other materials.
- Assist with trenching, backfilling, and grading for underground utilities and structures.
- Support crews in underground construction projects, including water, sewer, and storm systems.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
- Work collaboratively with ground crews, foremen, and other operators to complete tasks efficiently.
- Follow all site safety protocols, OH&S; regulations, and company policies.
- Adapt to changing jobsite conditions and assist with additional tasks as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid equipment operator certification and/or proven experience operating a track loader.
- Previous experience in underground or heavy civil construction preferred.




- Knowledge of underground utility installation practices considered an asset.
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe worksite.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites across Alberta.
