We are a small but busy gift company based in the Westshore. Specializing in local, handcrafted items and small batch foods, we create beautiful gift baskets and boxes. Established in 1989.

We are seeking an enthusiastic associate to join our small team of 'elves' for the holidays. This role will require assembling gift boxes and baskets utilizing our various techniques and materials. Being able to work at a swift, yet accurate pace is crucial to meet the demand of holiday volumes.

This position does require some physical stamina.Please do not apply if you have difficulty standing for long periods while working with your arms outstretched in front of you. The tasks are diverse and there is some movement throughout the shop and premises. We are not open to the public and the environment is casual.

No evenings.

Long term, part time employment after the holidays may be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Assemble gift baskets and boxes to a high standard of detail and finishing.
- Accurately and efficiently fill orders per custom requests.
- Preparing gifts for shipment & organizing daily deliveries for our drivers, couriers or pickup.
- Manage inventory levels, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
- May require Input order into our system to generate courier & post labels or other light admin tasks for those with clerical/computer skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Some deliveries may be required (company compact car provided)
- Assist management as needed.

Experience

- Previous shop, clerical or creative experience welcomed but not required.
- Comfortable using google maps & GPS if making the occasional deliveries.




- Valid BC drivers license with clean abstract.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to stand on your feet while working with your hands in front of you.
- Ability to occasionally climb stairs or lift 40 lbs.
- A fast worker that doesn't dilly dally, yet strives for a job well done.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
- Desk-top computer skills may be needed for light clerical tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a clear sense of time management.
- Takes direction well and learns quickly.
- Enjoys working as a team, yet capable of self managing as needed.

We are looking for a person of good character, honest, reliable, pleasant, works quickly and a keen desire to be part of a local small business. Please Note: Hours are part time until approx. Nov. 16th - at which time full time is available and preferred. The shop closes early on Dec. 24th so you can be home with your families.
