Job Summary The Mill in Recent Glasgow is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Host / Hostess to welcome guests, manage seating, and provide an excellent first impression. The ideal candidate should be professional, organized, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
- Greet guests and manage seating arrangements efficiently
- Manage reservations and maintain accurate seating information
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Answer guest questions about the restaurant, menu, and services
- Communicate guest needs and special requests with servers and kitchen staff
- Monitor dining room flow and coordinate table availability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host station and entrance




- Assist servers and restaurant staff during busy service periods
- Follow restaurant safety, sanitation, and service standards

Requirements
- Previous Host, Hostess, Server, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and dependable
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and customer service
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
