As a Human Resources Business Partner supporting our Montreal operations, you will work closely with business leaders and the broader HR team to translate business priorities into practical people strategies. Your day may include coaching leaders, guiding organizational and workforce planning decisions, supporting change initiatives, and ensuring global and national HR programs are implemented in a way that reflects local needs. You will join an agile, collaborative team with an open feedback culture and a shared commitment to creating an outstanding employee experience.
This is a 12-month contract for maternity leave replacement.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Bring external market, industry, customer, and people-practice insights into business and workforce decisions.
- Implement global and national HR strategies, programs, and initiatives for assigned business groups in alignment with local needs and in collaboration with HR subject matter experts.
- Coach and enable leaders to strengthen their effectiveness and partner with them to analyze and drive cultural change aligned with business strategy.
- Identify change-management needs and champion related activities across the organization.
- Lead discussions on workforce planning and organizational design, providing recommendations that help the business build a diverse and robust talent pipeline.
- Guide the business on appropriate HR programs, processes, and policies.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a labour relations background is an asset.
- At least three years of professional HR experience.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Experience in a global, matrixed organization is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with relevant HR systems and tools, including Microsoft Office and Workday.
- Strong fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
