We are seeking an organized and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support the day-to-day administration and coordination of our Human Resources activities.

Position Overview

This is a hands-on role with broad responsibility across the employee life cycle. The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of routine HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, WSIB, employee training and certifications, performance reviews, employee records, and offboarding.

This position is suited to an HR professional with a foundation in Human Resources with approximately 1–3 years of practical experience who is ready to take ownership of routine HR responsibilities while continuing to develop their knowledge and experience.

The successful candidate should be comfortable handling regular HR coordination activities independently while recognizing when more complex employee relations, legislative, or employment matters should be escalated to management or the company's HR consultant for guidance.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate new employee onboarding, including employment documentation, orientation, required training, and employee records.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, application screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, offers of employment, and pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
- Track employee training, qualifications, licences, and certifications and coordinate renewals and refresher training as required.
- Coordinate and track internal and external employee training.
- Coordinate and track employee performance reviews and required follow-up.
- Administer routine payroll activities, including reviewing hours, attendance, vacation, overtime, employee changes, and other payroll information.
- Administer employee benefits including enrolments, changes, terminations, and routine employee inquiries.
- Coordinate routine WSIB claims administration, documentation, reporting, follow-up,



and return-to-work processes in consultation with management and external providers as required. Maintain vacation, leave, attendance, and related employee records.
- Prepare employment letters, forms, reports, employee communications, and other routine HR documentation.
- Support management with the administration and documentation of disciplinary and corrective-action processes, escalating complex or sensitive employee-relations matters as appropriate. Support employee offboarding processes, including documentation, payroll and benefit notifications, return of company property, and record updates.
- Respond to routine employee HR questions and escalate more complex matters to management.
- Assist with the administration and communication of HR policies, procedures, and company programs.
- Maintain HR spreadsheets, electronic forms, tracking systems, and reports.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, including monthly employee giveaways, pizza days, recognition activities, and other company events.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, forms, records, and administrative systems.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and workplace matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of company operations.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Approximately 1–3 years of relevant Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or similar workplace.
- Working knowledge of general HR practices and the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, advantages, training, performance management, and offboarding.
- General knowledge of Ontario employment standards and workplace legislation.
- Experience with payroll administration, employee benefits, WSIB, recruitment, or employee training is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.




- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive employee information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and approachable when interacting with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Ability to independently manage routine responsibilities, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
- Good judgment and ability to recognize when an HR matter requires additional guidance or escalation.
- Comfortable working in both an office workplace and interacting with employees on a manufacturing shop floor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, HRIS, payroll, or similar digital systems is considered an asset.
