The Human Resources Generalist supports all day-to-day HR functions within a manufacturing plant environment. This role acts as a key liaison between employees, supervisors, and management, ensuring consistent application of HR policies, legislative compliance, and effective people practices. The HR Generalist plays a hands-on role in recruitment, employee relations, health and safety coordination, payroll support, performance management, and HR process improvement.

Relations &
• Workforce Support Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries and concerns. Provide guidance to supervisors on performance management, attendance management, and progressive discipline. Assist with workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation. Support onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes for hourly and salaried employees. Recruitment &
• Talent Management Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for plant roles, including job postings, screening, interviews, and offers. HR Compliance &
• Policy Administration Ensure compliance with Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Human Rights Code, and company policies. Assist with policy updates and communication to employees and leadership. Support joint health and safety initiatives in collaboration with plant leadership. Assist with incident reporting, WSIB claims, and return-to-work programs. Support payroll processing by ensuring accuracy of employee data, time and attendance records, and employment changes. Support annual compensation reviews and bonus administration as required. Training &
• Performance Management Coordinate training programs, including compliance, safety, and leadership development. Support the performance review process and employee development initiatives. Track training completion and certification requirements.
Continuous
Improvement & Reporting Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and employee experience. Prepare HR reports and metrics for management, including turnover, absenteeism, and headcount. Support HR projects aligned with operational and business objectives.
