Lead groundbreaking research on Autistic adolescents as a Postdoctoral Scholar with the AIDAN Lab in Edmonton. This hybrid role combines remote and in-person responsibilities focused on the Autistic Research on Writing Network. This 8-month position invites innovative candidates to oversee Phase 1 of the ARWN study.
You'll have the opportunity to guide a diverse team, ensuring a comprehensive approach to understanding writing development among Autistic youth aged 14 to 17. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr.
Heather
Brown and a multidisciplinary group dedicated to meaningful educational change. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Phase 1 of the Autism Research on Writing Network
- Lead day-to-day operations of research study materials
- Mentor and collaborate with junior researchers
- Engage with Autistic community as co-researchers
- Analyze data from various assessments and interviews
Requirements:
- PhD in relevant field, preferably with research on autism
- Experience in mixed-methods study and leadership roles
- Robust understanding of neurodiversity-affirming practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to inclusivity in research perspectives
