Overview

Commercial Truck Equipment is looking to add a Full-Time Permanent Hydraulic Equipment Installer to our production facility in Edmonton, AB.

All our employees play a vital role at Commercial, but our production and fabrication staff are at the heart of the work we do. Commercial in Edmonton, AB, supplies and supports vehicles for a variety of industries and we rely every day on our production team members to build and assemble vehicles for these vital customers.

We’re looking for a Hydraulic Equipment Installer to undertake the important work of ensuring safe, effective, and professional installation of the hydraulic portion of the equipment that we mount. The successful candidate will likely have a strong background with the combination of education and experience to confidently install or make-ready the hydraulic components of various Sand and Gravel Trucks, Snow and Ice Trucks and occasionally other truck mounted equipment i.e. Cranes, Compressors, pumps and winches.

Applicants should have a complete working knowledge of hydraulic system components, and the ability to confidently read engineering drawings.

Key Competencies

- Knowledge of hydraulic assembly and equipment, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Performance testing and optimization




- Utilizing hand and power tools; torque wrenches, pneumatic drills, impact drills, laser measuring tools and more
- Knowledge of detailed and large scaled blueprints and schematics is considered an asset.
- General truck equipment and body installation experience is considered an asset.
- Some occasional Hydraulic troubleshooting

Qualifications and Experience The successful applicant will have a mix of the following qualifications and experience. Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and hit the ground running. We will consider candidates from all backgrounds and industries.

- 2+ years of related hydraulic experience
- Ability to work both individually as well as in a team environment.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license. Class 3 with Air endorsement considered an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Detail oriented, dependable, and punctual.
- Commitment to providing outstanding internal/external customer service.
- Journeyperson ticket considered an asset but not required.
