THE EARNEST TEAM IS GROWING!
We are searching for an experienced Canadian Immigration Specialist to join us in a full-time position.
Before we go any further, here is what this role is not: copying information from a questionnaire into an application form and calling the file complete.
We need someone who can look at a case, understand the immigration strategy, connect the documents with the facts, spot concerns early, and prepare an application that is accurate, organized, and ready to withstand careful review.
In short, we are looking for someone who knows what they are doing—and knows when to ask questions.
The person we are looking for will have:
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience with Canadian immigration files
- Sound knowledge of Canadian immigration legislation, policies, programs, and procedures
- Experience preparing temporary and permanent residence applications
- A demonstrated history of positive results
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and document-management abilities
- The maturity to accept responsibility for assigned files and deadlines
- Clear and professional communication skills
- The ability to work independently while remaining connected with the team
Your work may include:
- Reviewing client backgrounds and assessing eligibility
- Developing file strategies in consultation with the supervising consultant
- Preparing application forms and supporting-document packages
- Reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Identifying gaps, risks, or information requiring clarification
- Drafting submission letters, explanations, and qualified correspondence
- Researching immigration legislation, policies, program requirements, and processing guidance
- Communicating with clients to obtain complete and accurate information
- Maintaining detailed file notes and properly organized electronic records
- Managing priorities and meeting internal and government deadlines
- Supporting the team with complex and time-sensitive matters
You should be comfortable working remotely—but “remote” does not mean mysteriously unavailable. We value regular communication, timely updates, and people who do not vanish when the deadline starts approaching. Why join Earnest?
You will become part of a growing immigration practice where careful work is noticed, learning is encouraged, and professional judgment is valued.
We offer
- Meaningful and varied immigration work
- A collaborative and approachable team
- Guidance and opportunities for professional growth
- Competitive compensation based on experience and capability
- The opportunity to work on challenging files and expand your expertise
- A workplace culture built around integrity, accountability, and genuine client care
At Earnest Immigration, we take our responsibilities seriously—but we do not believe the workplace has to feel serious every minute of the day. We work hard, support one another, learn from difficult files, celebrate approvals, and occasionally question why one missing document always appears five minutes before submission.
If you have the experience, judgment, and commitment we are looking for, please send us:
- Your resume
- A short introduction
- A summary of the Canadian immigration applications you have handled
- A brief overview of your professional goals and notable results
