Integration & Diversity Program Lead

Salary: $54,977 annually

About the Role

Under the direction of the Program Manager and/or Program Coordinator, the Inclusion & Diversity Program Lead is responsible for supporting the protected, effective, and inclusive delivery of EAFK programs for individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities In addition to providing direct support to program participants, the Inclusion & Diversity Program Lead acts as a positive role model, supports staff in carrying out their responsibilities, assists with training and problem-solving, and helps ensure participant support plans, safety requirements, program procedures, and organizational expectations are consistently followed.

The Inclusion & Diversity Program Lead is expected to demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to take appropriate independent action when needed, while recognizing when situations require consultation with or escalation to a Coordinator or Manager

Position Duties

- Provide direct care and supervision based on each participant’s individual needs, vulnerabilities,



health and safety considerations, and support strategies.
- Promote inclusion, independence, choice, and participation while assisting with personal care and other support needs.
- Respond to behavioural, health, safety, and emergency concerns, complete required documentation, and report significant concerns.
- Model professional, respectful, inclusive, and participant-centred practices while supporting staff with participant needs, program routines, policies, and procedures.
- Promote teamwork, communication, accountability, and shared responsibility, and assist during challenging situations.
- Support daily program coordination and identify concerns requiring Coordinator or Manager involvement.
- Maintain clear and timely communication regarding program operations, participant needs, staffing concerns, incidents, and emerging issues. Ensure important information is shared between staff while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, seek management support when required, and participate in meetings, training, and debriefings.

Other duties may be assigned to meet the organization's evolving needs. Qualifications & Skills

- 3 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Standard First Aid, CPR
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training




- Training and demonstrated competency in G-tube and ostomy care, or willingness and ability to complete required training.
- Pharmacology or medication administration training

Conditions of Employment

- A standard criminal reference check, including a vulnerable sector screening.
