Availability: Weekdays & weekends, including some evenings
Start Date: Immediate

About MEIRAKO
MEIRAKO is a hands-on jewelry workshop studio where customers create meaningful pieces while learning the jewelry-making process themselves.
We’re looking for a friendly, patient, creative, and reliable Workshop Instructor who enjoys working with people and teaching hands-on activities.
What You’ll Do
Your main responsibility will be hosting MEIRAKO jewelry-making workshops, including:
- Friendship Ring Workshop
- Silver Clay Workshop
- Bezel Ring Workshop
- Couple Band Workshop
- Charm Jewelry Workshop
You’ll guide customers step-by-step through the process, demonstrate jewelry-making techniques, help troubleshoot when needed, and create a warm and memorable experience.
You’ll also help with
- Preparing and resetting workshop stations
- Basic jewelry finishing and assembly
- Customer service during workshops
- Maintaining a clean and organized studio
- Checking workshop materials and communicating inventory needs
- Occasional retail and order-support tasks
Who We’re Looking For You do not need previous jewelry-making experience. We will train you.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Warm, friendly,
and comfortable working with customers
- Patient and confident teaching small groups
- Reliable and responsible
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Comfortable learning hands-on technical skills
- Good at following procedures and safety guidelines
- Able to communicate clearly with customers and teammates
- Comfortable using small tools and working with their hands
- Available for a combination of weekday, weekend, and evening shifts
Experience in customer service, hospitality, teaching, workshops, jewelry, crafts, or retail is an asset, but not required. Why Join MEIRAKO?
You’ll learn hands-on jewelry-making skills while helping customers create pieces that are meaningful to them. You’ll work in a creative workplace, receive full workshop training, and have opportunities to learn additional jewelry techniques as you grow with the team.
Most importantly: jewelry-making experience is NOT required. We’re looking for the right personality, reliability, and willingness to learn.
I think this will attract better candidates for what you actually need in Edmonton. Given the issues you've had recently, I would prioritize reliability, attention to detail, communication, and ability to follow SOPs over someone who simply says they're creative.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
