As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining a wide range of instrumentation and control systems that support safe and efficient operations.

preferably in an offshore oil and gas environment Valid Journeyman Instrumentation Certificate or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Instrument Certificate are preferred; attach your Journeyman / Red Seal ticket with your application Working knowledge of regulatory and industry codes applicable to the instrumentation discipline In depth knowledge of calibration, installation and repair of electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic controls and systems Working knowledge of PLC, Emergency Control Systems, Fire & Gas andDistributed Control Systems. Emphasis on computer / software equipment Proficient working with a computerized maintenance management system An understanding of control of work processes and systems Maintain the integrity and perform safe and efficient maintenance of all instrumentation and control systems and equipment Capture data in support of equipment condition monitoring Plan, coordinate and communicate daily instrumentation maintenance activities Adhere to the permit to work system while carrying out maintenance activities Participate as a part of an offshore emergency response team As this an offshore position, you will be required to maintain mandatory training and certification for continued offshore work Qualified residents of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be given first consideration in the staffing of this position The shift schedule is a 21 days on / 21 days off rotation, 12-hour shifts Pay rate in accordance with Appendix A of the Collective Agreement between Terra Nova Employers’ Organization and Unifor Local 2121 Suncor is committed to providing equal opportunities for employment and building an inclusive, results-oriented and high-performance culture where all members of our team feel safe, valued and respected. #
