Pro-Tec Industries is currently looking for a Journeyman mechanic to join our Fort Saskatchewan team. We are seeking an organized, self-motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of a team. This individual will be good at meeting deadlines and able to oversee apprentices when needed.

Experience in Blue Bird buses and products would be an asset. However, we offer training to those who qualify otherwise.

Position Overview:

- Perform mechanical assessments of vehicles.
- Document performed repair orders legibly and concisely.
- Ensure completion of shop maintenance and repair work.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair buses, including engine rebuilds.
- Familiar with vehicles of various sizes
- Address customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous, professional manner.
- Ensures mechanical compliance of all vehicles.
- Prioritizes delivering quality workmanship.
- Maintains positive & enthusiastic conduct within the dealership.
- Follows best practices, compliance, and trade regulations
- Maintains a safe and ethical setting.




- Working with both light and medium-duty trucks of all fuel types (gas, diesel, propane)

Position Requirements:

- Red Seal Journeyman (will need to provide documentation)
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple demands in a busy environment.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Proven mechanical abilities, solid working knowledge of mechanical application and repair techniques, and experience with complete engine teardowns and rebuilds
- Ability to become certified with Cummins and Roush CleanTech.
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License (Will need to supply a recent driver’s abstract).
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Own Transportation
- Own tools
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs
