The Chance
We are looking for a motivated Junior Design Drafter to join our team. You will play a key role in drafting the technical specifications for our process systems, ensuring our fabrication team has the precise documentation they need to build world-class equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Drafting: Create and update Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID;'s), as well as 2D drawings for pressure vessels, structural skids, and piping systems using AutoCAD, Plant3D, and Inventor.
- Fabrication Packages: Prepare comprehensive, construction ready drawings and accurate Bill of Materials.
- Project Support: Assist senior designers in the development of equipment layouts and integrated process solutions.
- Revision Control: Manage drawing revisions and incorporate engineering redlines with high attention to detail.
- Collaboration:
Interface with our fabrication shop to ensure designs align with manufacturing requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A Diploma in Engineering Design Technology (EDT) from a recognized technical institute.
- Software: Full proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. You must be able to produce clean, professional-grade 2D technical drawings efficiently.
- Mindset: A strong desire to learn the nuances of oil and gas process equipment and a commitment to accuracy.
Asset Qualifications
- Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, or Plant 3D) is considered a robust asset.
- Basic familiarity with P&IDs; and isometric drawings.
