Chick Pick Solutions Inc. is a New Brunswick-based ag-tech startup developing automated chick-sorting systems for hatcheries. Our systems use high-speed cameras and conveyor systems to classify day-old chickens by gender in real time. Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Electrical and Manufacturing Technician to join our team in a hands-on production role. This position blends electrical work, mechanical assembly, and quality development.

You will be building conveyor-based automation systems while also helping establish and improve how we build them. This includes developing structured assembly processes, testing procedures, and quality standards as we scale production.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys working with their hands, understands electrical fundamentals, and wants to take ownership beyond basic assembly.

Responsibilities

- Participate in R&D; activities including prototyping, testing new components, and refining system performance
- Assemble electrical control panels
- Assemble conveyor-based automation systems from mechanical drawings and specifications
- Fit, align,



and fasten structural components, drives, pulleys, and frames
- Install and route electrical or mechanical subsystems as directed
- Perform functional checks and basic troubleshooting on completed assemblies
- Collaborate with engineering to flag design issues or improvements
- Other related tasks as assigned

Requirements

- Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude — trades background, hobby projects, or skilled experience all count
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings or assembly instructions
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools safely and accurately
- Attention to detail and care for quality in finished work
- Ability to work independently and manage time on assigned tasks
- Physically able to lift components and work in varied positions
- Formal training in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, automation, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Relevant hands-on experience, technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn will be considered in place of formal training

Pay: $51,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
