Position Overview: We are seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team in Surrey, BC OR Calgary, Alberta for a 12-month hybrid contract , with some flexibility required for evening and weekend support.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities The role focuses on hands-on Windows infrastructure support , including:

- Resolving service desk and infrastructure tickets
- Administering Active Directory, Group Policy, and NTFS permissions
- Windows Server patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Supporting DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Windows security
- Supporting Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID/AD Connect, Intune, Defender, and MFA
- Supporting VMware environments
- Using PowerShell for administration and automation
- Supporting endpoint management, vulnerability remediation, backup/DR, and infrastructure maintenance
- Troubleshooting incidents, performing root-cause analysis,



and documenting resolutions
- Participating in on-call and after-hours support

Key Requirements

- 3–5+ years of Systems Administration or Infrastructure Support experience
- Strong hands-on Active Directory and Windows Server experience
- 3–5+ years supporting Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365
- Experience with VMware
- Strong understanding of NTFS permissions, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and Windows security
- Robust Windows security fundamentals, including endpoint protection, server security, and patch compliance
- Experience with Entra ID/AD Connect, Intune, Defender, MFA, and hybrid identity
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills
- Experience supporting enterprise environments; preference for candidates who have supported 100+ Windows users
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and customer service skills
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for occasional BC onsite visits
- Comfortable with on-call and after-hours support
