Kaleidoscope Childcare Centres offer inclusive early learning and child care programs where children of all abilities learn, play, and grow together. Guided by the BC Early Learning Framework, we create welcoming spaces that encourage curiosity, independence, and meaningful relationships.

As part of Mission Association for Community Living (MACL), we work closely with families and community partners to support children with diverse abilities and needs.

Our team is growing, and we’re hiring at both Mission locations:

Current Opportunities :

Preschool ECE Teacher

2nd Avenue location | One seasonal contract position

- Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Preschool program
- Potential opportunity for summer employment

Bring your creativity and care to a preschool program where children explore, build confidence, and develop friendships. This role is a great fit for an educator who enjoys planning engaging learning experiences and building strong relationships with families.

Responsible Adults, After School Program

Tunbridge Avenue location | Two positions

- Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Minimum qualification: Responsible Adult

We’re looking for caring, energetic team members who enjoy working with children. You’ll support a welcoming after-school program through play, recreation, and positive relationships.

Casual ECEs and ECE Assistants

What You’ll Do

Depending on your position and program, you’ll:

- Plan and support child-centred activities guided by the BC Early Learning Framework.




- Build positive, responsive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Support children with diverse developmental needs in an inclusive setting.
- Work with Supported Child Development and other community professionals.
- Create safe, engaging, and welcoming environments.
- Maintain documentation and records required by child care licensing.
- Contribute to a respectful and supportive team.

What You Bring

- Valid BC ECE or ECEA certification for positions requiring it.
- Responsible Adult qualification for the after-school positions.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- A clear criminal record check.
- A commitment to inclusion, teamwork, and respectful communication.

The Provincial Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement is paid in addition to the base wage for eligible staff.
