Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations, preparing meals, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained.

Duties

- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment.
- Support cooking processes by performing basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients.
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to established recipes and standards.
- Handle and store food safely while maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Serve and plate food in a timely and professional manner as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and food preparation areas.
- Follow food safety, workplace safety, and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food supplies and ingredients as required.




- Dispose of waste and maintain garbage and recycling areas according to established procedures.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations, particularly during busy service periods.
- Perform other kitchen support duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Experience

- Japanese kitchen experience in fine dining is an asset
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling practices is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures is desirable
- Experience working in the food industry demonstrates reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
