Quick Stats

- Pay: Starting at $18.25/hr + 4% vacation pay + share of tips pool (avg $8-10+/hr)
- Shifts: approx 30 to 37.5 hrs per week in high season, 5 days/week, generally Friday-Tuesday

The Job Our Kitchen Assistant prepares food, assists with food prep, keeps our kitchen clean and stocked, and our customers happy. Training will be provided in food preparation, kitchen cleaning & sanitation, customer service and, of course, cider! About You

You are friendly and hard working and a stickler for cleanliness,



and you enjoy working in commercial kitchens or grocery delis. In addition you have:

- Education: Food Secure Level 1 - required; post secondary training in commercial kitchens - preferred; Serving it Right and First Aid Certification - an asset;
- Vocational experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant or deli - preferred
- Communication skills: Demonstrated success in teamwork.
- Personal aptitude: Reliable! Open to feedback! Able to work well with others and to “roll up your sleeves” to get the job done!
- Work week availability: Able to work day-time shifts Friday-Tuesday
- Physicality: The physical strength to safely lift and carry heavy items (up to 25 kg); work on your feet for hours at a time; perform frequent physical movements in a kitchen throughout the day and to work indoors and outdoors, rain or shine.
- A Health & Safety mindset and experience with cleaning & sanitation protocols in a commercial kitchen or deli
- Continuous Improvement: A desire to work for a business that is growing and seeking to continually improve
