Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Help at Gateway to India and be an essential part of creating a vibrant, efficient, and welcoming food service environment. We are looking for 2-3 full time members to join our team in our production facility, where we produce meals for retail stores. In this role, you will support the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help deliver delicious meals and excellent service to our guests.

Duties

- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning dishes to support chefs and cooks
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Support cooking activities by organizing ingredients and helping with basic meal assembly under supervision
- Handle food items safely by following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Restock supplies and ensure all kitchen tools are sanitized and ready for use during service hours




- Assist with dishwashing duties, including cleaning cookware, utensils, and dishes promptly after use
- Support serving staff by preparing food items for delivery or service areas as needed

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks efficiently and safely
- Experience with meal preparation and cooking processes is a plus
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in the kitchen environment
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks effectively
