Responsibilities
- Supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage and motivate the kitchen team, including hiring, training, coaching, and conducting interviews to build a cohesive and high-performing staff.
- Oversee food safety protocols and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and excellent customer experiences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar point-of-sale systems; manage cash handling procedures responsibly.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and maintain proper storage practices to minimize waste.
- Lead by example in hospitality,
serving guests when necessary and ensuring all team members deliver outstanding customer service.
Skills
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as food preparation, cooking, or restaurant management.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with team management skills that motivate and develop staff.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms for transactions.
- Excellent communication skills for interviewing, training, and customer interactions.
- Ability to manage restaurant operations efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Experience with bartending or barista roles is a plus for versatile kitchen leadership; hotel or hospitality experience is highly valued.
