Laser & Part Marking Technician

Position Summary
DISHON LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented Laser & Part Marking Technician to perform permanent identification and marking of precision-manufactured components using laser marking, etching, and stamping processes.
The successful candidate will ensure all part markings are accurate, legible, properly positioned, and completed in accordance with engineering drawings, work orders, customer specifications, and quality requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy to maintain proper product identification and traceability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform part marking using laser marking, etching, and stamping equipment and processes.
- Set up and operate marking equipment according to work instructions, drawings, and customer requirements.
- Verify part numbers, serial numbers, lot/batch numbers, revision levels, quantities, marking locations, orientation, and required text before marking.
- Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, specifications, and part-marking instructions.
- Ensure all markings are accurate, legible, correctly located, and compliant with applicable requirements.
- Perform first-piece verification and visual inspection of completed markings.
- Maintain proper product identification and traceability throughout the marking process.
- Select and use the appropriate marking method, tooling, fixtures, templates, or settings according to established instructions.
- Handle precision components carefully to prevent scratches, dents, contamination, or other handling damage.
- Clean and prepare parts before and after marking as required.
- Identify marking defects, incorrect information, damaged parts,
or other discrepancies and report them to the appropriate Production or Quality personnel.
- Segregate and identify nonconforming parts according to company procedures.
- Complete required production, inspection, and traceability documentation accurately.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of marking equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
- Follow company workmanship standards, quality procedures, health and safety requirements, and applicable customer requirements.
- Support other production and post-machining activities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with laser marking, etching, stamping, engraving, or industrial part marking is preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred.
- Experience working with precision-machined components is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructions.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to accurately verify numbers, letters, symbols, and marking locations.
- Basic understanding of product identification, serialization, and manufacturing traceability.
- Comfortable operating computerized and manual marking equipment.
- Ability to perform visual inspections and identify marking defects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow established processes and instructions.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, precision machining, or another regulated manufacturing environment is an asset.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift and move materials within established workplace limits.
Work Environment The Laser & Part Marking Technician works in a precision manufacturing environment and is responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy, product traceability, and workmanship. The technician must follow all applicable safety, quality, product-handling, and marking requirements and wear appropriate PPE as required. Pay: $20.00 per hour
