Our organization serves Autistic individuals over their lifespan.

We partner with families, communities, schools and workplaces to reduce barriers, so that Autistic people can access the activities and spaces that are key to them. Who We’re Looking For The Centre for Autism Services Alberta is seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and dependable Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support Autistic children and their families.



Whether you're a post-secondary student building experience for your future career, a recent graduate, or a professional looking for flexible and rewarding part-time work, we'd love to hear from you.

As an LSA, you'll work one-to-one with children while being supported by a multidisciplinary team that may include Behaviour Analysts, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Together, you'll help children build communication, social, daily living, and learning skills in a positive, neuroaffirming environment.

Who This Role Is Perfect For

- University and college students pursuing careers in education, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, social work, disability studies, rehabilitation, or related fields
- Professionals seeking meaningful supplemental income and flexible hours

Qualifications





- Currently completing or have already completed a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- At least 6 months of experience working or volunteering with children or youth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong desire to work with Autistic children/youth and their families
- Good understanding of childhood development
- Able to adapt to changing needs of families and children/youth
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Flexible availability for after school/evening and/or weekend shifts (minimum availability of one weekday per placement required)
- Clear Police Information Check, Explicit Intervention Record check and valid Standard First Aid with CPR – Level C (may obtain upon hire)
- Additional experience working with Autistic and/or neurodivergent children or youth is an asset
