About Blüm

Blüm Academy is an independent and private early learning school in Calgary serving students from infancy through kindergarten.

Our educational approach brings together Montessori principles, Reggio-inspired inquiry, meaningful outdoor learning, visual arts and project work, practical life, and strong relationships between children and educators.

Blüm classrooms are calm, intentional, screen-free environments designed around the belief that early childhood education is significant developmental work. We are looking for experienced Alberta Level 3 Early Childhood Educators who see themselves as an educator, not simply a supervisor of children.

The Role

As a Level 3 Educator at Blüm, you will help create a thoughtful, engaging classroom environment where students are known well, challenged appropriately, and supported in developing independence, confidence, curiosity, and strong social foundations.

You will work alongside a professional classroom team and Blüm leadership to deliver a consistent educational program throughout the school year.

Your responsibilities will include

- Creating warm, respectful, and responsive relationships with students
- Preparing and maintaining an intentional classroom environment
- Facilitating meaningful learning experiences through Montessori work, inquiry, practical life, art, literacy, numeracy, and project work
- Supporting children's independence, emotional regulation, social development, and Grace & Courtesy
- Observing and documenting student learning and development
- Maintaining active supervision and strong classroom routines
- Supporting daily outdoor learning and movement
- Communicating professionally with families and colleagues
- Following Blüm protocols, licensing requirements, health and safety procedures,



and professional standards
- Participating actively in school meetings, professional learning, and campus initiatives

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds a valid Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 3 certification
- Has meaningful experience working in licensed early learning or childcare environments
- Is warm, confident, attentive, and highly engaged with students
- Values structure while still allowing children room for curiosity and exploration
- Takes initiative and notices what needs to be done
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Is dependable, organized, and comfortable with accountability
- Values thoughtful environments, beautiful materials, and purposeful classroom preparation
- Works collaboratively and contributes positively to a team
- Is genuinely interested in early childhood education as a profession

Experience with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, emergent curriculum, inquiry-based learning, or project-based learning is an asset but is not required.

Requirements

- Alberta ECE Level 3 certification
- Ability to work full-time in person in Calgary
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, or ability to obtain one
- Current First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it
- Professional proficiency in English
