We are seeking a creative, agile, committed professional to join our team: SCHOOL LIBRARY TECHNICIAN Metcalfe Public School Position Status: 50% Regular, Part-time Salary Rate: $27.22 to $33.67 per hour (Level 5) Under the direction of the Principal or designate, the Library Technician will provide technical and public services and perform other duties related to library operations such as organize, maintain, select, order, circulate print and non-print materials, provide reference services, research and prepare support materials for units of study, and perform public relations, supervisory and clerical activities. Diploma in Library and Information Technician, and 1 to 2 years of library experience. Proficiency in computer applications (word processing,
spreadsheets and databases), ability to perform internet searches and use research tools.
Experience operating and maintaining library software. Interpersonal and communication skills required, including writing communication skills. The ability to work in both English and French is an asset.
