The role

We're hiring an experienced, fully licensed G1 Gas Technician (313D refrigeration certification preferred) to join our field team. You'll work independently on service calls and installations, diagnose, prevent, and solve problems on gas-fired and refrigeration equipment, and represent our company with professionalism on every job site.

Responsibilities

- Install, service, repair and maintain gas-fired appliances and equipment, including boilers, rooftop units, make-up air units, unit heaters and commercial water heaters
- Install, service and troubleshoot air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose system faults and recommend repair or replacement options to clients
- Perform preventive maintenance, combustion analysis and safety inspections
- Complete work orders, service reports and TSSA-required documentation accurately
- Communicate frequently throughout the day through our company software: updating job status, logging notes and parts, and checking in with the office
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and our office team
- Follow all TSSA codes, CSA B149 standards and company safety procedures,



including rooftop and high-rise mechanical room work
- Mentor apprentices and junior technicians when needed

Required qualifications
- Valid TSSA Gas Technician 1 (G1) license
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a licensed G1 Gas Technician
- Minimum 7 years of total experience in the HVAC and mechanical industry
- Valid Ontario G driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Strong troubleshooting skills on commercial, industrial and high-rise equipment
- Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet and company software to communicate and document work throughout the day
- Ability to work independently, manage your time and lead a job from start to finish
- Own hand tools

Assets
- Preferred: Ontario 313D Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (Residential) certificate (313A also welcome)
- ODP (Ozone Depletion Prevention) certification
- Plumbing experience
- Hydronic and boiler system experience

Travel and vehicle Our work spans the GTA and its outer edges, so daily travel between job sites is a regular part of this role. A company vehicle is provided, along with fuel and work-related travel expenses.

Compensation and perks

- 50 to 60 dollars per hour, depending on experience and tenure
