The Machinist 1 role is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to develop their skills in basic and advanced machining processes.

Working under direct supervision, this role offers the chance to learn precision machining in a dynamic manufacturing environment, with the potential to grow into more complex operations. This position adheres to core competencies including communication, teamwork, achieving results, continuous improvement, and sound judgment. Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools, including CNC machines,



to perform precision machining (e.g., sawing, turning, milling, boring, plaining, drilling, precision grinding). Verify product dimensions using precision measuring instruments. Set up and program machine tools for operator use.

Load and delete programs in the machine computer. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to support inspection accuracy, ensure compliance with aerospace cleanliness standards, and promote overall workplace efficiency.

High School

Diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience Ability to read, write, and speak in standard English Mechanical aptitude Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment. Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
