Ashwood Manor Manor is a Retirement Home for Seniors located in the community of London, Ontario. Currently, we have a Part Time (22.5 hours weekly) position open for a person to oversee the maintenance of the facility.

PART TIME POSITION

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance person to perform tasks such as repairs and upkeep. You will be responsible for basic repairs to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.

Being reliable with a keen eye for detail .The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

· Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.

· Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues

· Install appliances and equipment

· Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs

· Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)

· Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)

· Collaborate with contractors and other professionals

· Report to a facilities manager for issues

Requirements





- Proven experience with hands on maintenance for a multi unit facility
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Ability to paint a room
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Great attitude and patience, especially working with Seniors
