Bowmanville Orthoapaedic Physiotherapy Centre

We’re a multidisciplinary rehab clinic focused on advanced fascial tensegrity–based assessment and treatment, and we’re looking for someone who genuinely loves hands-on work with patients.
We’ve set the bar high on purpose. This role is for people with drive, discipline, and a real heart for patient care. If you want an easy ride, this isn’t it. But if you are willing to work very hard, climb the tough road to develop effective hands-on skills, and grow with one clinic for the long haul, we want to hear from you.
What the role actually is:
Working directly with patients delivering soft-tissue and assisted-stretch techniques under the direction of our physiotherapists. This is hands-on, patient-facing work that includes exercise prescription. If the best part of your day is when you’re actually working on someone, this role is built for you.
It’s also physical work. Manual therapy is an active, hands-on craft. You’ll work with patients of every build and kind of tightness, from delicate, restricted tissue to larger, heavily muscled clients who need real force to stretch effectively. We bring technique: we’ll teach you methods to work more efficiently and get the most out of your effort, so your strength goes further.
If you enjoy using your hands and strength as part of skilled, careful treatment to help patients who are in pain or want to improve their movement health, you’ll feel at home here.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver soft-tissue, assisted-stretch, and manual therapy techniques under the direction of our physiotherapists.
- Carry out exercise prescription with patients.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment, keeping them clean and ready.
- Monitor patient responses during treatment and promptly report any concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment details.
- Follow infection-control and safety protocols.
- Work closely with the rehab team to coordinate patient care and outcomes. Be a team player.
Qualifications (Who we are looking for):
- A background in kinesiology, exercise science, or physiotherapy assisting.
- Prior clinical or hands-on patient experience is a robust plus.
- A solid understanding of terminology relevant to physical therapy and manual treatment
- Genuine, compassionate patient care with professional boundaries
- Clear communication with patients, therapists, and the wider team
- Reliable, coachable, and able to follow protocols consistently
- Certification or training in manual therapy or healthcare support is preferred but not required.
What’s in it for you: This is a ground-floor role in an emerging service line. We invest in people who commit to it. There’s a clear path to training in manual and exercise therapy techniques and the chance to build a specialized skill set.
Pay is performance-based. The bar is high, but it is worth it. Patience and a success-oriented mindset will achieve it.
