About the Role
SAI is looking for a creative and motivated Marketing & Fund Development Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will help increase awareness of SAI by coordinating our marketing, communications, community engagement and fund development activities. What You'll Do
Marketing & Communications
- Develop and implement an annual marketing and communications plan aligned with SAI's mission, values, and organizational priorities.
- Build and maintain a clear, consistent SAI brand and key messages across digital, print, and community-facing materials.
- Develop a content calendar and create, edit, schedule and publish engaging content for SAI's social media platforms and other communication channels.
- Maintain current and accurate website content and coordinate newsletters, promotional materials, and public awareness campaigns.
- In conjunction with the senior management team, gather stories, program information, photos and outcome information in collaboration with SAI teams, while protecting privacy, dignity, and consent.
- Monitor communication and digital engagement results, identify trends, and recommend improvements based on available data.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Build relationships with community organizations, businesses, media contacts, prospective supporters, and other partners, and represent SAI at events and through collaborative opportunities that increase awareness of the organization.
Fund Development & Reporting
- Develop and implement an annual fund development plan that builds on SAI's marketing, communications, and community engagement work.
- Research sponsorship and donation opportunities that align with SAI's needs, eligibility, and organizational priorities.
- Coordinate funding proposals, grant applications, sponsorship packages, and supporting materials in collaboration with the Executive Director and relevant SAI teams.
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns and events, donor and sponsor communications, acknowledgements, and recognition activities.
- Maintain accurate records of contacts, opportunities, applications, commitments, deadlines, revenue and campaign results, and support required follow-up and reporting.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, public relations, fund development, nonprofit management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in marketing, communications, fund development, community engagement, or a related area; experience in a nonprofit or community-service setting is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to develop plans and independently coordinate multiple projects, campaigns, and deadlines from concept through completion.
- Excellent written, verbal, editing, presentation, and storytelling skills,
with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences and communication channels.
- Experience managing social media and website content and using common content creation, scheduling, email marketing, and analytics tools; graphic design experience with tools such as Canva is an asset.
- Experience with grant research or writing, sponsorship proposals, fundraising campaigns, donor communications or donor stewardship is an asset.
- Strong relationship-building and community engagement skills, including the ability to represent SAI professionally with partners, supporters, and the public.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft 365; experience with contact, donor or customer relationship management systems is an asset.
- Valid Saskatchewan driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check, and willingness to learn and work in accordance with SAI's values and Gentle Teaching approach.
