Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Martial Arts Instructor to inspire and guide students through their martial arts journey. In this role, you will teach various martial arts techniques, promote discipline, confidence, and physical fitness, and foster a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed to helping students of all ages achieve their personal best while ensuring safety and enjoyment in every class.

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging martial arts classes tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Develop and implement structured lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum
- Demonstrate proper techniques, stances, forms, and movements with clarity and enthusiasm
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continued improvement
- Adapt instruction and training activities to meet individual student needs and abilities
- Maintain a safe training environment and ensure students follow established safety procedures
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive atmosphere that promotes discipline, teamwork, confidence, and personal growth
- Assist with planning and organizing martial arts events, competitions,
demonstrations, and other school activities
- Maintain a clean and organized training area and ensure equipment is properly cared for and in good condition
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience with expertise in (WT) Taekwondo
- Preferred Kukkiwon 2nd Dan or higher
- Vulnerable sector screening must be completed
- NCCP coaching credentials are preferred and an asset
- Proven experience teaching martial arts or related physical activities
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage students
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and parents/guardians
- Knowledge of martial arts training safety procedures and best practices
- Enthusiasm for promoting physical fitness, discipline, confidence, and personal development
- Basic swimming skills are considered an asset for programs involving aquatic facilities or activities
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 – 32.0 per week
