Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of deli items, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, food safety, and retail operations within a dynamic food industry setting.

Duties

- Prepare deli products including slicing meats, cheeses, and assembling sandwiches according to company standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for processing transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail and accuracy
- Assist customers with selections, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Restock shelves, organize products, and ensure the display is appealing and well-stocked
- Upsell additional items to enhance customer experience and increase sales




- Follow all food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety compliance
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly

Experience

- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred, especially in a restaurant or food industry environment
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cashiering tools is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing simple calculations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen or food handling experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for specific duties

Job Types: Full-time, Part time Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
