R eporting to the Quality Control Manager, t he Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for conducting compliance and inspection processes for all products received and manufactured at Argus. Interpret production order information, including material grade, size, thread description, and part description.
Review documents, drawing numbers, and revisions, material requirements, and stamping requirements, ensuring the current version is being referenced. Use measuring instruments and gauges to ensure product quality standards are being met. Perform efficient receiving inspection, first-off, in-process, and last-off inspections of CNC and manually manufactured parts.
Maintain and file clean and fully completed inspection sheets for Argus and customer products. Verify that the calibration of instruments and gauges used is up to date. Undertake inspections and complete inspection reports for special processes, including swaging, stress relief,
abrasive blasting, phosphating, and torquing.
Phosphate tank testing. Responsible for final inspection, including verification that all required processes and all final documentation are completed and ready for shipment. Verify documentation complies with all customer requirements at the time of shipping.
Provide a completed document package to shipping. Report and record all nonconforming (NCR) products to the QA Supervisor. Provide peer training to new employees in the department. Provide general QA and shop assistance as required. 3+ years’ experience in a Quality assurance/ control position preferred. ~ High School Diploma required. ~ Quality System and Licensor training as required. ~ Competent in using computer software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Dynamics AX. ~ General knowledge of products and services in relation to the oil and gas industry. ~ Strong knowledge of safe work practices, Quality Assurance requirements, and Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) principles, and the ability to impart that knowledge to others You will receive a competitive hourly rate, based on skills and experience, and a host of excellent advantages, including: Extended health and dental coverage Life and disability insurance Paid vacation time Company events and a social committee that fosters a strong team culture Our values can be found in the About Us section of our website.
