We have a 12-month limited term contract opportunity for a Microbiologist I.

Location: 25 Wolseley Court, Cambridge Employment Type: Contract (12 months) Schedule: Weekend Nights, Sunday - Wednesday (Sunday and Monday, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am; Performs testing including, but not limited to the following: Environmental monitoring of air and surfaces in the Aseptic Processing Area, including viable and non-viable testing methodology Personnel monitoring of all employees qualified for entry into the Aseptic Processing Area. Sterility testing of finished goods. Bioburden testing of WFI and other water systems, and raw materials and components as required Pyrogen testing of finished goods by LAL methodology.

Bacterial identification/speciation of isolates selected from the monitoring results. Preparation and purchasing of microbiological media (both purchased products and those manufactured in-house). Preparation, sterilization and sanitization of equipment and facilities used in the conduct of microbial testing, including the sterility-testing suite.

Read plates and report the results of microbial tests. Ensures in-process Quality Control monitoring performance Acts as a subject matter expert and provide gown training for production staff. Follows GMP and regulatory requirements and ensures quality standards are met.

Education Diploma or a University degree in a related science (Microbiology).

Experience 2 years’ of related experience in Microbiology or related field.
