National Account Manager – Transportation & Logistics

Locations: Vancouver, BC | Calgary, AB | Edmonton, AB

We’re hiring! APPS Cargo Terminals is growing, and we are looking for experienced National Account Managers to join our Sales team in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. If you’re a strong relationship builder who knows how to develop and close new business, we’d like to hear from you.

APPS Cargo Terminals provides a broad range of transportation and logistics services, including LTL, truckload, intermodal, warehousing, transloading and customized freight solutions. We are looking for someone who can represent that full service offering in the market and develop long-term, profitable customer partnerships.

What you’ll be responsible for:

- Prospecting and developing current business opportunities
- Building and managing a strong pipeline of prospective customers
- Developing relationships with key decision-makers and national accounts
- Understanding customer supply chain and transportation requirements and developing tailored solutions
- Preparing proposals, presentations and pricing solutions
- Negotiating rates, service agreements and contract terms
- Growing existing accounts through additional services and opportunities
- Working closely with Operations, Pricing and Customer Service to ensure commitments made to customers can be successfully delivered
- Staying informed on market conditions, competitor activity and emerging customer needs




- Maintaining strong account relationships and proactively resolving issues

What we’re looking for:

- Proven sales or business development experience; transportation, logistics or supply chain experience is strongly preferred
- Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills
- Ability to develop and close new business
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Commercial mindset with an understanding of pricing and profitability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple opportunities and priorities
