IT Solutions Architect (Networking & Cybersecurity)

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Solutions Architect specializing in Networking and Cybersecurity to support enterprise and public sector clients. This is a highly client-facing role focused on solution design, technical advisory, and pre-sales support, helping organizations modernize and secure their IT environments.

Working alongside Account Managers and technical specialists, you will act as a trusted advisor, translating business requirements into scalable networking and cybersecurity solutions while guiding clients through their technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Engage with clients to understand business and technical requirements
- Design and recommend networking and cybersecurity solutions aligned with organizational objectives
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise throughout the sales cycle
- Deliver solution presentations, demonstrations, and technical recommendations to stakeholders
- Develop architecture and solution designs for enterprise infrastructure environments
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to support proposals and client engagements
- Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices
- Build and maintain relationships with strategic technology vendors and partners
- Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and certification initiatives

Required Experience

- Strong background in enterprise networking and cybersecurity architecture




- Experience designing and recommending infrastructure and security solutions for commercial and/or public sector organizations
- Hands-on knowledge of technologies from:
- Cisco
- Fortinet
- Palo Alto Networks
- HPE Aruba
- Experience in a client-facing consulting, solutions architecture, pre-sales, or advisory capacity
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused recommendations
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- University degree, college diploma, or equivalent industry experience

Nice to Have

- Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Network Architect, Cybersecurity Architect, or Infrastructure Architect experience
- Relevant vendor certifications such as:
- Cisco (CCNP, CCIE)
- Fortinet NSE/FCP
- Palo Alto Networks certifications
- Aruba certifications
- Experience working with public sector clients
- RFP, proposal, and technical bid response experience

Additional Requirements

- Bilingual English and French (written and spoken)
- Strong customer-focused and consultative approach
- Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-starter with strong organizational and relationship-building skills
