Posted September 23, 2026 Last updated September 23, 2026 Reason for Job Posting: Reporting to the Manager of Allied Health, the successful candidate will provide assessment, program planning, treatment, follow-up and program evaluation to both inpatients and outpatients following practice standards set by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Successful applicants will join a large team of experienced Occupational Therapists and have an opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including inpatient surgical, medical, intensive care, stroke, geriatric rehab, high-intensity rehab, and transitional care or outpatient neuro rehab and hand clinic. Provide assessment, program planning, treatment, follow-up and program evaluation to clients in the hospital and community.

Screen patients and referrals for priority of intervention and facilitate referrals to appropriate health care and/or community programs. Collaborate with patients and their families/care givers in developing treatment goals and encourage family participation in the development, implementation and ongoing modification of the treatment plan. Assign components of treatment to, and supervise the practice of,



Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs).

Communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary care team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals. Work within the scope of practice and standards laid out by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Act as a role model, mentor, and/or preceptor for learners, new grads, and new hires from various disciplines.

Be versatile and accommodating to support evolving workload demands and priorities. Graduate of an accredited university program in occupational therapy. Current registration with, or eligible for registration with, The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).

Extensive knowledge of community resources. Demonstrated behaviour consistent with the hospital’s Standards of Performance and iCcare values.
