Summer Breeze is seeking a dedicated and flexible On-Call ECE/A Educator to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children’s lives by providing high-quality care and educational support in a dynamic environment. As an on-call professional, you will be called upon to step into classrooms as needed, ensuring that children receive consistent, nurturing, and engaging experiences.

Duties

- Provide attentive supervision and care for children in various classroom settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or accommodations for disabilities
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute engaging curriculum activities aligned with developmental goals
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, observations, and developmental progress of children
- Assist with classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining a clean, safe environment

Qualifications





- Valid ECE or ECE/A license to practice
- Valid First Aid with CPR/C
- Preference will be given to those who hold a class 4 drivers license.
- Clear criminal record check
- Proven experience working with young children in early childhood education or childcare settings
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
- Robust communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- Classroom experience demonstrating leadership qualities and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
- Passion for teaching, patience, creativity, and a positive attitude toward fostering inclusive learning experiencesThis paid position offers the flexibility to work as needed while contributing significantly to the development of young learners. Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 – 24.0 per week
