Responsibilities

- Assist customers in selecting eyewear that best suits their style, needs, and prescriptions using your knowledge of optical products and medical terminology.
- Conduct thorough eye exams and measurements to ensure proper fit and vision correction.
- Provide expert advice on lens options, coatings, and frame styles to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage laboratory processes for lens edging, fitting, and adjustments to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of patient prescriptions, laboratory work, and sales transactions using optical management software such as Epic or similar systems.




- Support retail sales efforts by promoting eyewear accessories and contact lenses while meeting sales targets.
- Educate customers on proper lens care and eye health practices to foster long-term relationships.

Experience

- Proven experience working as an Optician or in a related optical retail environment.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye care and vision correction.
- Laboratory experience with lens fitting, edging, and adjustments is highly desirable.
- Hands-on optical experience with frames, lenses, contact lenses, and related products.
- Experience in retail sales or retail management roles that demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members while maintaining a skilled demeanor.
